Hi there, fellow ambo's.
How many times can we be shafted? Ripped off pay wise, ripped off workload wise, under-staffed, over-worked, treated like shit in general by management, not looked after by the State Government, not to mention a piss-weak union.
A few of us have put together this site to allow real ambos to have their say, unfiltered by bosses, governments or union reps. You can have your say, too, in the comments. «Oldest ‹Older 2801 – 3000 of 5605 Newer› Newest»You know...looking @ this is like watching the Three Stooges go around. Nyuk Nyuk Nyuk!! Empty threats & cartoon violence which is tired, empty & is really past its use by date.
I mean, going out on the grass sacking everyone in sight etc etc etc.. its got us a long way hasn't it?
Its like a poor horror movie, with poor dirty faced villagers, marching to the citadel, torches aloft shouting & yelling.
KILL OL' CRAZY EYES & FLIGHT ATTENDANT WILLIS!!!!!!
KILL! KILL!
HANG DARTH WILLIAMSON & DELLA THE IGUANA BOY!!!
HANG! HANG!
Only to turn & run like screaming school children when confronted by a big scary authority figure. Then wring our hands & howl about how unfair life is when nothing happens.
The only way to sort this shite out is to push for a ROYAL COMMISSION!!!!!!
The HSU & Ambulance & NSW Labour are a tripartite system. The same system which encourages/ignores the corruption/nepotism/ignorance/bullying we constantly gripe about. This behaviour it inherent in the system. Ergo, why would you rely on the system which begat such heinous behaviour to fix this dilemna? To fix itself?
No. The answer lies OUTSIDE the system.
Go to your Local Member or who ever is running against them..tell them of our plight & watch them go hard at it like sharks in chummy water...
Given the spectacular failures in achieving anything at all, what other tools do we posess?
A Royal Commission.
You know it makes sense....
Dear Tommy Hader !!!
You speak a lot of sence.... really, this is exactly what we need to do... I will investigate this real soon. I hope the others out there do the same as you are dead right, this is the only way to fix these corrupt fuckers !
I am getting a little sick of this. The same old same olds with the same ideas. Look it is just time to walk. Out off or wherever you are. Pick a time and do it. All this shit they are offering is crap and having a protest meeting a bloody joke. The pollies look down from their office windows and think what a bunch of tossrrs we all are whuile they sip their lattes and take home a decent wage without having to do OT or work weekends to get it. We need to walk and walk NOW!!!
Set a date and a time, im in!
How are you today young man?? I love a good walk! Especially in the morning, its so bracing!
Is it great to read comments from Rescue fuckers on the intranet. The did nothing, earnt nothing, had their break, went home on time, didnt transport, didnt get stuck in bed block but now they want the allowance offered to those who did suffer. You get what you earnt In you did fuck all you get fuck all! PS Can youpeople learn to spell.
REAL AMBO !!!
Can you organise a poll here again like the one that you did asking people if they would leave the HSU.... only ask if " you would go on the grass regardless of HSU "
If we get a few hundred.... which i am sure we will, then we can organise it... because im dam sure Willaimson and his ASNSW and government wont !
Ok. I accept that the money was never going to be that great, but I heard yesterday that now they are not going to offer the 4 by 5 off roster any more either ??? its going to stay as 4 by 4 ???
I'll take what they have offered if they give us what the newcastle boys and girls and the coord centre are doing ie the 4 by 5, but if not, they can shove it where the sun dont shine !
Think about you stupid bozos! If you get 5 days off, you work less over the year. That means you earn less!!! Then you have to do OT shifts to prop up the failing operational levels and earn a decent wage. The 5 days off was how you got your measely 8%. That's what cost-neutral means.
Round and round we go, with the pollies and management wage gouging our conditions and pay to band-aid up the failing health/asnsw system.
Well there you go ... ( its official) the soft cock HSU delegate on the north have talked the mob into accepting the deal !!!
Michael Williamson did not even have to lift a finger... explain himself once or do anything did he ????
The HSU are the winners !!!
Game over !
So you are saying if I work 4x4 and work extra 4 hrs/ week because now its not an unpaid break I will be working 48hr/week. That this is not 10hrs per week more than a 38hr week therefore by giving me a day extra off I lose money? Maybe on your theory I should work an 80 hr week.
I hear that the north and east have accepted.
What a bunch of soft, selfesh, gutless prats.
Did you even think about those people off on maternity, lsl, wc, sick last year that will miss out?
I am in the higher bracket for l/m and c/o, and i am unwilling to accept this BS of an offer as i am it is still a pay cut and it is not fair and equitable to all.
This time, we are screwed....THANKS
I am from the West, an overwhelming majority is ready to accept the offer we are fucked again. Just give me 5 days off or will it be 2 10hr days and 2 12hr nights 4 off.
FAIR - free from bias, dishonesty, or injustice: a fair decision; a fair judge.
EQUITABLE - characterized by equity or fairness; just and right; fair; reasonable: equitable treatment of all citizens. impartial, proper, unbiased.
Does their pay offer sound fair and equitable?
I have it on good authority, Real Ambo, jumped ships a while ago and is now in training with the boys in blue! Hence no blogs! You good folk, really are screwed! ICAC?
Told you the service is full of SOFT COCKS
the east and south (4&6) voted No.. What is the plan with tomorrow in the city?
The problem as I see it is that the union, and I use that term loosely, it is broken into so many sub-branches that the left hand doesn’t understand or comprehend what the right is doing. Also there are too many delegates with too many agendas and too many nitwits that wouldn’t be able to spell fairness or equity let alone understand what it means.
The previous anonymous spoke of impartiality, being proper and unbiased etc. Well my friend that won’t happen. Unfortunately the majority, with the most votes, WITH THE MOST TO GAIN, will rule the day. For example, I haven’t heard too much hype lately with respect to the 80 officers who just had their careers in rescue destroyed.
Yes as we all know HSU is run by the Labor party and are in bed with our management (remember management got the big pay rise not us). But we also need to have a look at the course of action we take as individuals. Take a look at the ever-increasing number of skills and pharmacology’s being mailed out to us, all accepted with no remuneration.
Think of it from service’s perspective, why should we consider paying these clowns an allowance when they will do it for nothing anyway…..HELLO. We need to start standing up for ourselves because as most of us realise by now we can’t rely on management’s union…..I mean our union…. right??
And if you can’t stand up for yourselves and say NO!!!! then don’t believe what your sub-branch delegates tell you. Most of them have no idea what they’re doing in any event.
SPIDER
Had the union guys selling me the offer....My vote will still be NO!
I am gobsmacked that the north crumbled and voted to accept this disgusting pay offer. What a suprise that the gutless North Delegate just got offered a position at Narrabeen. I hope the other sub branches have some balls unlike my colleagues.
Yeah!! Lets hope that the other sub branches vote NO
1) RE: 4 x 4 roster. Its worth more money. Weekends come around more because you have less days off in the cycle. 4 x 5 you work less weekends because you have more days off.
Thats a fact Jack.
2)Your Brothers in the South have rejected this lame shit out of hand.
3) Soft Cock Sub Branches caving in..are you surprised? Usually most union meetings are made up of those with a massive self interest and/or some poor lonely schmuck who wants a break from Internet dating/porn.
4)Young Tommy Hader has his shit together. A Royal Commission. In this case, it's the best way to backdoor the cat.
5)Anon. who bagged the poor spelling...how 'bout your poor punctuation...(youpeople - what language is that?).
6) Maintain the Rage! but let's direct it a little better.....

The only way we can get a fair go is if the relationship between the ASNSW, the HSU and the labour party is made public, without this, nothing is EVER going to change. They fuck us, only because they are currently the judge and jury, and they can !!!!
Apologies for my grammar.
Has the penny dropped for you fools yet?
Majority of Delegates are Rescue.
Sub branches get talked into accepting deal.
Rescue gets returned.
Wake up Fuckers
And I am Rescue so don't bring that into it, I voted NO. Would prefer rescue to stay but not for the sake of shit wage
WHAT!!!WHO ARE YOU TALKING TO YOU DUCK EGG, THEN AGAIN YOU RESCUE CUNTS ARE GENERALLY SELF RIGHTEOUS,WE DON'T WANT RESCUE SO YOU DID US NO FAVOURS YOU BIG FUCKING SOOK, HAS THE PENNY DROPPED YET FOOL. FUCK OFF.

Central Coast Rescue voted "If I cant have the money for penalties I didnt earn then neither can you other bastards who did earn it".
nothing init for me so I voted no!!!fuck rescue too about time they did some work anyway
500 million to be slashed from NSW health budget in next 5 days. Guess you get fuck all now. Yeah you showed em voting no! I guess new award penalty reduction will be in next week with less money for the city.
The angry man needs to realise that there are people out there who have been off through injury, maternity etc, who work at busy stations that will be missing out. You need to get over your hate for rescue. We need to be united.
I bet 1 meal penalty we walk away with less than what we were offered though stupidity, any takers? Its a given!
PS Fuck off rescue now
Can someone please tell me what a Paramedic Class 1 and 2 is and why they get $1000 and nobody else?

The west are going on a full blown strike on monday !!! at least someone still has some balls.... I can assure you that if i get sent over there to cover you, it will be the longest slowest trip of my life.... and hey, hope the car does not break down !!
Good on you boys.... !
Def of indoctrination: to teach someone to accept ideas without question or criticism.....anyone at the union meetings, this may sound familiar?
Why is everyone voting on something that we really don't know the full facts about. What type of rosters will we be working? Will we get one, two or no crib breaks, when and where will they be? Will the paltry adjustment allowance be taking inflation into consideration.. think about it 15yrs down the track? Busy stations will be the biggest losers, more work no pay! $1000 sweetener is a GROSS payment - unfair not all will get it!
Facts: grim reba now on $130K a year super for life...rescue persons will be happy about that, make sure you send her a xmas card.
Della botcha made a commitment to Alan Jones last wk that he wants recognition for the hard working Ambos and pay and rosters were his MAIN priority. In the public and his interest I doubt he will deny further negotiation to happen...if there are flaws in the proposal then they must be fixed. He must be made aware that in its current form it is not fair and equitable to all. Would the miners and wharfies accept this proposal?
Lets develop a backbone and fight for a better outcome now, don't think it will happen next year from the good work of the HSU!
Our country brothers have apparently forgone this 1.4% so that us city and coast ambos can have SOMETHING to compensate us for our lost penalties. If that is indeed the case, Thankyou.
The only fair and equaitable way to divy this up appears to me to be to share it equally amongst all city and coast staff.BUT IT MUST BE PAYED AS AN HOURLY RATE AS WAS THE 2.5%. BOTH THE ORIGINAL 2.5% AND THIS 1.4% ARE PART OF THE SAME CPI "POT".It does not take rocket science for this to occur and it can still be done on the basis of only being earnt if you are a city or coast officer.
More about whether this whole affair is adequate later.
Re: why they get $1000 and nobody else?
Well to put it bluntly the $1000 was a bribe. Only given to some but not all who have been affected by the recent alterations to our award. I have no doubt it was used to divide us, confuse us with the view conquering us.
As you can see from this blog most have made valid points but it can be very difficult to understand if your not in the know or you’re an outsider.
The anonymous that indicated the West are to strike as of Monday, good on you friend !!!!. Most delegates in my area are trying to talk everyone into accepting this outrageous proposal…..sucking up to management……piss weak as usual!!!

That we should have to rely on the generosity of our country brothers for this meagre meager compensation is preposterous. I don't see the Minister of Health, The Director General of Health, the ASNSW CEO or any HSU officer being asked to take pay cuts of 8 to 12%.
That this "breakthrough" one-off, take-it-or-leave-it offer was ever cobbled together at all by Picone and Della Bosca as a serious proposition leaves me agast. All I can say is, it's no wonder NSW and NSW Health in particular, is such a disaster. If I did my job as badly as these polititians and bureaucrats do theirs, I'ld be out on my arse.
That the HSU could so unquestioningly recommend this meagre, discriminatory insult to us is outrageous. One can only belive it was deliberatly designed to fail. So much for thier political rhetoric in regards to anti-discrimination and EEO.
Shame on the lot of them.
If ever there was a time for a vote of no confidence in that self serving fat cat Michael Willaimson... it's NOW !
We cant sack him, but we can stop paying him until he starts working for us not THEM !

Jodie Adams' submission includes damning claims that her superiors were unconcerned about widespread depression and suicide attempts among officers pushed to the breaking point by stress.
A paramedic for 16 years Ms Adams, who has been twice nominated for Australian of the Year, said she was eventually demoted from her role as district officer after repeatedly raising the high attempted suicide rates and low morale among paramedics to her superiors.
Hers was one of about 20 submissions from Hunter officers to a parliamentary inquiry into the management and operations of the ambulance service, which has called for a fresh start for the service.
She isn't Robinson Crusoe.

NOTICE
The Outer Hunter Sub Branch held a meeting tonight and as a consequence, has unanimously rejected the offer in its entirety as outlined in the Proposed ‘additional’ agreement for implementation commencing in 2008-2009. This Sub Branch is not interested in any offer which involves Trade Offs in conditions.
WE ARE DOING SOMETHING. ALL UNIFORMED OFFICERS THAT ARE OFF DUTY Union MEMBER OR NOT COME TO THE PARK OPPOSITE THE AMBULANCE STATION AT PENRITH ON MONDAY 10th NOVEMBER. THE UNION WAS TOLD OF THIS ACTION AND WAS ASKED FOR THEIR SUPPORT, THEY INSTEAD DECIDED TO ORGANISE THE STATE DELEGATES MEETING FOR THE MORNING AND DENIED SUPPORT FOR THE RALLY. THE RALLY IS STILL ON WE WILL BE THERE WILL YOU?
Does anyone at all imagine that the HSU will go in hard for us if we reject this offer? I suspect they won’t especially while a state Labor government is in power. HSU will probably come up with some bullshit like the difficult financial times ahead for the government, the global recession etc. Maybe even start spruking about the next award review due in 8 months time.
Allot of ambos will believe it as they care nothing for party politics nor understand it. Consequently they are habitually deceived…it’s been going on for years!. Most are also apathetic and indifferent to the reality that they share a union membership with uniformed management…dumb shits.
Sometimes I think they deserve what they get...sorry.
Anyway, speak out to anyone who will listen. It’s not fair to expect the media to help us until we start helping ourselves.

Spider = Rochford.
And your point is?
Well it looks like the HSU has finally spoken out against it's members by arranging that delegate meeting and not supporting the rally. My membership is withdrawn as of Monday after 28 years. Enough IS enough for me.
if ambos are so confused for what is on offer, then it all should be rejected.
How can we go to work now and not even no what we are getting paid.Thats what happened yesterday,25% meal penality gone,,,or is it.
who really knows whats going on,because i sure dont.
How classy is this little set up,for the government.
You work and we will tell you what your being paid, sometime in the future..I thought the IR Laws were not a Labour thing????
If Broken Hill has their own agreement, why can't each division? They also have two unions but that's a different story!
As we can all see ONE agreement doesn't function well at all. The country ambos can earn in excess of 100K and the city ambos struggle along on a measly 55-60K? And now they take your meal penalties, will it be out call outs next?! When one ambo is on call 2 nights a week, one is on call 24hrs for 8 days and one doesnt do on call at all, HOW can ONE agreement cover everyone and it be fair!?!?!
I agree that the base rate needs to be adjusted, but if you raise it evenly across the state then country ambos will greatly exceed 100K and still be miles ahead of city ambos even though we have the same job title! It needs to be tiered in some way so it's fairer to all. I am a country ambo and I do believe we deserve cash for being on call and completing call outs as even though city ambos get flogged, their off duty time is their own and they aren't distrubed at home from their beds. But I also believe that city ambo wages are a joke!
We need several different fair realistic agreements across the state! NOT ONE RIDICULOUS JOKE OF AN AGREEMENT FOR ALL! We are to diverse.
You know the HSU does not care how many of us leave... we are to outspoken and want value for our money !!
What they want is a bunch of cleaners and clerical staff who just shut up, dont demand anything and just keep paying.
Michael Williamson has been laughing at us for so long and he continues to do so !
WHERES THE MONEY GOING MICHAEL .... SHOW US THE BALANCE SHEET OR A SET OF ACCOUNTS ! WHAT ? DONT WANT US TO KNOW HOW MUCH OF OUR HARD EARNED CASH IS GOING INTO THE LABOUR MEMBERS LITTLE CASH FUND TO ENSURE YOU FUTURE AS A POLITICIAN IN THE VERY NEAR FUTURE !!
The rally at Penrith went very well today , more to come !!!!
Ambo's for Ambo's..

There was fuckall on the news because the public dont give a fuck.
Just another govt. job complaining for more cash
Last rally in August(of which hardly any turned up) hoax calls at Mt Druitt was more important on front page.
I have been scanning a number of emails on the intranet from ambos expressing their disappointment with the HSU and the service etc.
I did notice a fascinating anomaly, which was in direct conflict with HSU’s submission to the recent parliamentary inquiry. Not one of these emails, not one, made a direct reference in any way to Greg Rochford. He personally didn’t get a mention at all. No comments about the need to change leadership in the service, the need for a uniformed leader etc., nothing.
However, HSU in their submission to the parliamentary inquiry stated it was an "overwhelming source of frustration" to the majority of ambos that the service's head was civilian and not a uniformed officer.
Did HSU lie?
I think so.

Ambos demand better deal in Penrith
GEMMA SEYMOUR AND JESSICA MAHAR
10/11/2008 4:42:00 PM
AMBULANCE officers from around Sydney and areas as far as Wollongong, and the Hunter Valley converged on Woodriff Gardens in Penrith yesterday to rally for better pay, conditions and professional recognition.
Nearly 300 officers joined forces across the road from the Penrith ambulance station, waved signs and received
noisy recognition from passing motorists.
Advanced life support ambulance officer
Grant Jennison, based at Richmond, said the protest
was not a union rally.
He also said that officers present were off-duty
day personnel or had just come off a night shift.
``We're losing senior officers because of the
lack of recognition,'' Mr Jennison said.
``Nobody can afford to stay in the job on
$27.96 an hour,'' he said, referring to the average hourly rate of a qualified ambulance officer.
Paramedic at the Penrith station, Mark
Fulcher, told the crowd to numerous rounds of applause in support of his words.
``We don't work nine to five . . . we need a
wage that reflects that.''
He spoke of mandatory overtime and said that
some officers were dealing with depression.
`Our good will's being burnt out.''
But he also reminded the crowd that ``people
do this job because they love it.''
He later told the Star that the rally, with no union involvement, was the result of the union denying them a stop-work meeting.
He said the skills of ambulance personnel had been brought up but they had ``never been recognised and remunerated for those skills''.
He said their union and employees put together a case to the Industrial Relations Commission with a decision handed down in September.
He explained there was a pay increase, but that some penalties and conditions were taken off them which amounted to a pay cut.
He estimated that ambulance officers get off work on time about 30 per cent of the time and said their job was not family-friendly.He said they did receive an offer from the NSW Health Minister but said there was still a loss of income.
``We don't know what's going to happen in terms of the new award,'' Mr Fulcher said.Colyton station officer and intensive care paramedic Jeff Gamble said he was fed up.
``They come out with a lot of lip service but when push comes to shove management just don't care.''
He said Colyton was the tenth busiest station in Sydney.
Mr Gamble will retire in two years time.``It just can't come quick enough.''
Ambulance delegates met Health Services
Union representatives yesterday, union spokes
woman Angela Humphries said.
``We're very very disappointed about the outcome of the full bench [of the IRC] and we understand that ambulance officers are very upset as every ambulance officer is,'' she said.
The delegates meeting has decided that an application to the IRC to get the award varied should be submitted and the uncertainty about the rescue provisions needed to be resolved by this Friday.
Ms Humphries said: ``It's going to be a very busy week for the ambulance officers and the NSW Minister for Health who we call on to show
some common sense.''
Yesterday's state–wide Ambulance Delegates meeting called on the Department of Health to jointly seek the assistance of the Industrial Relations Commission of NSW to pause the following aspects of the new Award:
- reduction in the late meal and call off penalties and the introduction of 12/12 hour rosters;
- implementation of the seven day notice period regarding posting and altering of rosters;
- application of clinical profiling;
while the Commission assists the parties regarding these issues.
A spokeswoman for Health Minister John Della Bosca said paramedics perform invaluable work in the community in trying and challenging conditions.
``The Government will ensure these hard-working personnel get a fair outcome from the implementation of the award decision by the Industrial Relations Commission,'' she said.
``The new award has given ambulance personnel between 8.5 percent and 15 per cent extra per year, but concerns have been voiced about some accompanying changes.
``Our discussions with the Health Services Union are focusing on how the new award can be put in place in a fair way and how it will impact on individuals.
``We are working together to ensure we get the best possible result for paramedics and the community.''
A spokesman for the Ambulance Service of NSW said: ``The new award was negotiated by the HSU on behalf of paramedics in the Industrial Relations Commission (IRC) and the Ambulance Service abided by the decision handed down by the IRC (an independent umpire).''

I live very close to Penrith Ambulance Station and I acknowledge that these wonderful people are highly educated, professional and work tirelessly for the people of NSW. I cant understand why they are so underpaid. My daughter cleans toilets and earns $32.10 an hour which is significantly more than a Paramedic. Is this Government kidding themselves? Maybe they should ride in an Ambulance for a night and then negotiate their pay. To the Paramedics of Penrith and NSW I say a big THANKYOU and please keep fighting for what you are worth.

A recent email on the intranet suggested we use the 'Thank a Paramedic Day' on the 20th November to strike. What do you all think about that?
It seems we're fighting to get back what we've lost following the 'negotiation' of the new 'award', WE MUST NOT SETTLE.
Our hourly rate is the problem here, not the allowances. Anything below $30 an hour is a joke, we must demand it.
So what? They gave us an 8.5% pay rise...but our pay has not gone up above CPI for years, our skills and demands have increased exponentially in the last few years, with no associated remuneration. This is the most fired up and unified we've been for a long time, so let's get on with it and strike on the 20th November.

Well done to all those who organised and attended the rally and to those who spoke out; Grant, Mark and Jeff and others.
We sit here relying " on a bunch of union bureaucrats "who are indirectly part and parcel of Service’s administration anyway. They defend above all the interests of the Service not ours.
As injustice piles on injustice, as inquiry after inquiry doesn’t come up with any real answers, as the immoral relationship between HSU and uniformed management flourishes, we are forced to rely on ourselves.
On Monday you did, well done.

"AMBOS FOR AMBOS"
Well at last, the masses have spoken out and rejected the new award OUTRIGHT !
Yes thats right it has been totally rejected much to the discust of the HSU who tried to talk everyoned into it.
The blinkers are now off and even blind freddy can see that the HSU are corrupt and are in bed with the government and asnsw managemnent !
BUT !!! the members have spoken... so go to work you dogs and DO what the members want.... DO what the members have told you to do and DO what has been voted on !!!
Finally .... we need to force the HSU to make all future decisions an ONLINE vote for all members ... so that the wishes of the chosen few no longer rule the decision of the day.
We all have internet access and the HSU knows all of our ID's .... so lets force them to make this the future of our voting !! with all votes posted ( with membership no's ) on the HSU intranet !
If they do just this one thing, then we can for once be really united !!
Michael Williamson will be in no doubt what it is that we are asking for and in no doubt what his key performance indicators are !!
DO IT !!!!!
Kate Benson is a Medical Reporter with the Sydney Morning Herald. She has previously posted on here asking for ambos to speak to her regarding our working conditions. As I understand, no one did. Here's another perfect chance! We're all fired up and we should use our energy wisely. I have been in email contact with her and she's still keen to chat with ambos. Ambos will remain totally anonymous if they wish.

If you email her she will ring you back. Come on troops let's show we're serious! Here's some media attention we desperately need!
If half you wrote were true it would be easy but most of you talk shit. look how quiet your interenal email rev up has gone. You are all back doing the same shit as you were before
And your crybaby whinny opinion would be...?
Some HSU sub-branches are banning P1's using Morphine. A tactic to secure some sort of allowance. P1’s have Fentanyl but it is limited to it’s ONE route of administration. It does not have the vasoactive properties that morphine has, and it seems that much fewer are allergic to it. Morphine is also a potent vasodilator, an analgesic, and it's use in ACS/ AMI is unparalleled to Fentanyl, however there is debate about this point at the moment.
How low can HSU go, not only have they fucked us over, they are now starting to hurt our patients!!!!!!!
Denying patients appropriate, possibly life saving treatment and pain relief so they can make a buck. What a disgrace!!!!!!!!!!!! I will be sending this story to every newspaper editor I can find!!!!!!!.
Yeh, well while you are at it ..... ask them to look into where Michael Willaimson is putting all the money ??? because there is no balance sheet, no accounts and no trace of where all the millions of dollars he is getting from us is going !!!
Anyone paying into this management run mob right now is a bloody fool !
no one I know at Dubbo voted on that one, no real ambo would, we know nothing about it.
If we take every drug/skill the service sends in the mail to us why would they ever pay us more if we do the enhancements for free.

HUNDREDS of ambulance officers from across NSW converged in Penrith on Monday to raise public awareness about the conditions faced by the State’s front-line health professionals.
During a rally held at Woodriff Gardens, independent of the Health Services Union (HSU), ambulance officers spoke out about the conditions faced by their colleagues and families as a result of the way they were being treated by the State Government.
Mark Fulcher was one of the ambulance officers that addressed the rally and explained the working conditions of ambulance officers were being misrepresented by the Government.
“We are losing highly trained paramedics because of our conditions, junior officers are being forced to train junior officers on the job,” Mr Fulcher said.
The loudest round of applause Mr Fulcher received was when he pleaded for more staff and fatigue management to relieve the pressure and share the workload.
“Wouldn’t it be good to come to work and say how good things are,” Mr Fulcher said. “But we are bound by a dysfunctional ambulance hierarchy.”
Ambulance officer, Grant Jennison, said that the public should be made aware of what is happening with the Ambulance Service and its hard working members.
“The population of NSW has increased by 25 per cent in the last 10 years but the number of ambulance officers hasn’t. We feel that the public are suffering because of a lack of qualified officers,” Mr Jennison said.
“The Government has simply renamed ambulance officers ‘paramedics’ so the public thinks that they are being looked after by somebody who is more qualified than they really are.”
However State Member for Penrith, Karyn Paluzzano, said the Government recognised that the men and women of the Ambulance Service were doing a fantastic job under very difficult circumstances.
“The NSW Government greatly values the hard work, dedication and professionalism of members of the NSW Ambulance Service, and I hope that we can continue to work together with the NSW Ambulance Service to resolve these concerns and re-assure them that they are highly valued by this Government,”Ms Paluzzano said.
“As the Member for Penrith, I have met with the local Ambulance Officers and staff at the Station on a number of occasions, and I am more than happy to meet with them again to discuss these concerns.”

Meagher decision quashed

Officials of the ambulance officers’ union in the Hunter are optimistic that by this Saturday rescue units will regain the role stripped from them and given to fire officers by previous health minister Reba Meagher.
Health Services Union (HSU) Hunter official Peter Rumball said he was hopeful such a decision would be reached by the new health minister John Della Bosca.
“The health minister will be meeting police and emergency services minister Tony Kelly on Wednesday, together with the manager of rescue services and the State secretary of the HSU,” Mr Rumball said yesterday.
“We understand that Mr Della Bosca will reinstate all those disbanded ambulance rescue services and the situation will return to the pre-September situation,” Mr Rumball said.
“That is the only thing the HSU will accept and we believe Mr Della Bosca has basically accepted that situation too.
“The return of ambulance rescue units has the full support of Unions NSW, the Police Association and of the HSU.
“By Saturday morning, we expect all ambulance rescue units to be back in their trucks.”
Mr Rumball said Mr Della Bosca had given quite positive support for the reinstatement of ambulance rescue units.
Once the decision has been reached, it will go before Mr Kelly to get the final stamp of approval.
A spokesman for Mr Della Bosca said the minister had asked the HSU to put forward a proposal to make the best use paramedic rescue skills.
“The minister is working with the HSU to finalise their submissions to the State Rescue Board,” the spokesman said.
“Any change to existing arrangements would need to be endorsed by the State Rescue Board, which is ultimately charged with the task of making sure we have the best rescue system in place in the State.”
The plan enacted by Ms Meagher had hoped to free up more than 80 paramedics for new rapid response units to attend clinical emergencies.
This included the scrapping of 14 ambulance rescue units.
“[e]mployees have the right to be represented in collective-bargaining negotiations by individuals who have a single-minded loyalty to their interests,” and the identity and role of supervisors admitted to membership in a labor organisation can, in certain circumstances, compromise that statutory interest. Thus, active participation in the affairs of a labor organisation by supervisors employed by the employer with whom that labor organisation seeks to bargain can give rise to questions about the labor organization’s ability to deal with the employer at arm’s length. Central factors involved in considering this issue are the employees’ right to a collective bargaining representative whose undivided concern is for their interests and the employer’s right to expect loyalty from its own supervisors. Active participation by the employer’s own supervisors may, in a given case, contravene either or both of these legitimate interests. Indeed, we have held that an employer has a duty to refuse to bargain where the presence of that employer’s supervisors on the opposite side of the bargaining table resents a conflict between those interests”.
Ray Hadley interviews Della Bosca search in Google. Hadley has a go at Roachford!
“Workers in supervisory positions have direct authority with respect to hiring, firing, promotions, or transfers; supervisory positions also have access to confidential information relating to the employer's labor relations plans and policies so that their official duties and responsibilities directly conflict with their sincerity and responsibilities as members of the labor union said; and other persons who represent the interests of the employer;”

“In order to run effectively, a company needs supervisors with undivided loyalty to management. Supervisors should make decisions based on efficiency and merit, not internal union politics or the union's preferred work rules. Keeping supervisors out of the collective bargaining unit also provides important protection for non-supervisory employees. Workers should feel free to challenge their union without facing retaliation from their supervisor. If a worker's supervisor belongs to the union, then workers who stand up to union bosses would have cause to fear retaliation”.
“Establishing the appropriate “demarcation” labor law lines between management and non-management employees is extremely important from both a public policy and statutory perspective. One of the problems identified in such settings was that a substantial portion of the workforce that many considered to
be management employees became embroiled in strikes and other confrontations with their respective employers.”

Hello Anonymous,
Good to see someone else understands our predicament. Most of the quotes I have used are from overseas but are obviously pertinent to the dysfunctional labor relations heirachy we have been plagued with for many years.
It’s a long read but most relevant points are between pages 2-8.

I know there are many other readings but I haven’t booked marked them. However, let me know if you want more and I will try to find them…..Enjoy!!!

“The term "Labor unions" as used in this Act shall mean those organizations, or federations thereof, formed voluntarily and composed mainly of workers for the main purposes of maintaining and improving working conditions and raising the economic status of the workers, however, this shall not apply to workers in supervisory positions as their official duties and responsibilities directly conflict with their sincerity and responsibilities as members of the labor union”.

dear spider and all the other arachnids,
so your point is?
that you (all of you, sic) can read big works in books
what the fuck has this got to do with the present predicament????
D/O's and below have always been in our union, the supers (what's left of them) have been for almost 2 decades
is this shit you are sprouking doing anything to get us a decent pay rise?
NO!
Recognition and financial reward for extra skills?
NO!
Decent shifts?
NO!
More staff?
NO!
better conditions?
NO!
so get back on the subject and quit this meaningless drivel
Yeah what he said ya dope. The next boss that tells me (and I have had one) I earn too much money after the last few days I have had is going to get punched in the mouth. If you are a boss and reading this beware.
Labour Voter (Not),
It has everything to do with our present predicament and more.
Re: D/O's and below have always been in our union, the supers (what's left of them) have been for almost 2 decades
You also forgot to mention the state superintendant is also a member of HSU. Derrrrr!
Re: is this shit you are sprouking doing anything to get us a decent pay rise?
Your right, no it isn’t. But the point is who lost and who gained in the recent wage case that was accepted by the HSU, Management. Management’s payrise was financed by what you lost.
Re: Recognition and financial reward for extra skills?
The service is a business with a budget like any other. Why should they think of paying you when you do it for nothing. Management, including CTO’s, influenced you and your brown-nosing sub-branch delegates to do these “extra skills” for nothing. I bet they made some brownie points out of that one.
Re: Decent shifts?
How long has HSU been representing ambos and you still don’t have decent shifts? Umm? Umm?
Re: better conditions?
As above
Re: More staff?
It’s only been 2 years since the end of single officer stations. An independent staffing review determined in 1995 that single officer stations and responses were hazardous to officer safety and more importantly could adversely effect patient outcomes. HSU has known about these documents for over 11 years and has done nothing. Must have saved their management buddies a fortune. Isn’t the first priority of any union safety of it's members in the workplace? I guess not.
Wake up Labour Voter (Not).

Who had to give up sweet FA to get the biggest rises?

Now, ask yourselves who the HSU is benefitting the most!!!!

So rescue is back!!! That's good news but I hope we don't drop the ball in regard to the "real issue", and that is getting everybody a decent payrise. HSU has been very very quiet on this front. I hope there hasn't been some sweetheart deal done with the rescue delegates to get the new award through in exchange for their old roles. I wouldn't put it past Williamson and that corrupt union.
Anonymous,
Rescue back? Where did you here that from. news to us here! Also the anonymous who posted the last quote probably spider i think really sums it up with the ongoing bullying and harasment issue. got it in one

Rescue back ( with all its union deligates ) in return for acceptance of the new award !!
What are you all stupid ??? this was planned a long long time ago.
As for spiders note about managers in the union, i totally agree.... you should see the smug look on the managers faces at the workplace respect courses they are running .... do you think any of the managers who are bully's are going to listen to any of that !!
I THINK NOT " once a bully, always a bully !"
The service knows they only have to wait for us to run out of steam and it will be business as usual. We all puff our chests out and say we are going to do this and that but they know in the end we will never walk off and whatever we can come up with won't work. Old Crazy Eyes must be laughing like a hyena at all of this.
"Australian unionism has been in severe decline over the past 15 years". "There are three key factors in the decay of the union movement: first, the persistence of old-fashioned, quasi-marxist, "class war" thinking; second, its total involvement with one side of politics; and third, an ingrained tendency to see members as "numbers" to be used for industrial or political purposes rather than as individuals with needs to be met".
(Hon. Tony Abbott)
Sound familiar?
Re: Old Crazy Eyes must be laughing like a hyena at all of this.
HSU’s propaganda machine seems to have sucked you in. As I have said before the problem is the mixture of management and worker in the same union. There needs to be a defined line between the interests of management and the interests of the rank file.
Rochford is not the problem he has done his best to help us. Maybe at times not the perfect system but far better than what it was.

Forgotten to take your medication again have you Spider? Fuck a duck mate you are delusional if you seriously think that.If what this service has become is his best then he needs to get out now and go back to nursing. Apart from all the union and wages shot did he approve this cheap and nasty uniform we are now wearing. Seen the short sleeve shirts yet? Who would go to a shop and see a shirt like that and pay for it with your own hard earned money? Hands down.
Anonymous,
Re: Seen the short sleeve shirts yet?
I don’t expect it’s a CEO’s role to be on a uniform committee, he would delegate and take advice, please correct me if I’m wrong. Personally I find the new uniform very comfortable and practical.
As for the pay thing I think it’s HSU you should be condemning. Remember they got their uniformed management buddies the big payrise not us.
SPIDER
So we can assume Spider that you buy very cheap clothes then and are easily pleased hahaha good on ya. You are probably right about Roachford not bothering about the uniform. After all he has never worn one so what would he know what is good or not. I am old enough to remember when we were given taylor made uniforms that fit and lasted longer than the first wash. I have seen ambo's walking around with 'ance' on the back of their shirts. The rest has worn away. So what do they do with the S/S shirts. They stick the same crappy letters on the back of them. What a joke. Yep you must be easily pleased mate.
Anonymous,
Re: Yep you must be easily pleased mate.
Granted the old blue and whites were certainly a smarter looking uniform and if it were up to me, and obviously it wasn’t, I would have left it as it was. No doubt you have an opinion…good for you, you have my respect.
However, like you anonymous many of us have been influenced by propaganda to denounce Rochford. The recent parliamentary inquiry a classic example. HSU’s submission stated it is an overwhelming source of frustration to the majority of ambos that the service's head was civilian and not a uniformed officer. We all know that isn’t true!
These sorts of attempts to influence and manipulate our perceptions could even be characterised as bullying. Funny that. I on the other hand object to the misrepresentation of the truth and have always resented our union’s methods. Hitler claimed that by skillful and sustained use of propaganda one can make people "see heaven as hell, or a most wretched life as paradise".
SPIDER
Oh Spider .... yet agiain, you are so right !
The HSU is an evil bunch of " do nothings " who have used their self perpetuated lies to fuel the fear and need in people to believe that they have a friend and protector and this has been going on since i joined the job ..... but those with even half a brain know this !
The truth is out of the bag now though and they are panicking !!! rallys being organised without them, web sites being set up to unvail them and literally hundreds of people pulling out of their pathetic little scam !!
All but a few sensless frightened little sheep continue to pay into Michael Willaimsons little ( help me in politics ) fund and believe me when i tell you there days are numbered !
Soon... " VERY SOON " there us going to be a real voice for the people... one that is not shrouded in a vail of secrecy set up by the old boys club to further their own needs at the expense of the plain old ambo.
They are working with the ASNSW and the government and the only reason rescue is back is because it wont cost anything !!
The real issues and now dead in the water because those who were making the most noise now have what they want !
THE JUDGE ...
Hey Williamson !
Did you ever see the movie 'The Swawshank Redemption'
All it took was one smart determined individual to bring down an entire organisation of corrupt people just like you !!!
Can you remember his face right at the end when he realised that there was no way out .... yeh i bet you can ?
Spider you should read the submissions from real ambo's. If I was you I would never tell Christine Hodder's family that Rochford did his best. He should have walked in there and suspended the lot of them on the spot until the truth was out and then throw out the perps for good. We don't need people like that in our organisation.I remember being dragged off the road under the brothers and told to go home and pack a bag for 3 days away. I was then taken to an ambulance station where this sort of thing had been going on and was to be a witness to the sacking of the people involved. The news soon spread and that type of behaviour stopped overnight. It can be done. Reading the submissions from some ambo's and how they were treated had me inn tears at what we have become. I could tell you my story about the way the service treated me after 30 years but in the end who cares. I am letting my lawers handle it instead and not a union one. I left that mob a couple of years ago now and put my money to work for me.

And that is the sort of shit the Masons aka the brothers did all the time buddy.... I have seen it too.... but do you really think that is the way to handle things ????
I'm glad the brothers are under pressure from people like rotchford.... that sort of shit should never go on either !
I'm not saying that what you are talking about was handled correctly either but any situation where a group of people can do that sort of shit is not on either !
A few of the brothers are still left in Sydney and are hanging on by the skin of their teeth at the moment.. and that is why we need to get rid of the HSU... they are key players in this group and the only way to get them out is to get out of the HSU !
dear Spider and all you anonymi (anonymouses?)
Ah, the brothers.
Would any of you morons care to identify those brothers who are left in any position of "power"?
ALL of the current crop were appointed under old crazy eyes' dictatorship, ALL of them!
The anonymous who said he was packed off to witness a group sacking, well done brother!
Sadly there are few of us left, and you are right, if the brothers were still in charge those assholes at Cowra would have been sent packing as they SHOULD have been, they literally hounded poor Christine Hodder to death!
That filth has no place in our Service, not then, not now, not EVER.
But our beloved leader went to offer the poor traumatised darlings his support!!!!!!
Still I suppose that was one more female he didn't have to put up with in HIS ambulance service.
So Spider and all your (if they exist at all)cronies, do you save a copy of your blog and show it to Gregie Poo?
Do you get a pat? a tickle behind the ears? a promotion?
Spider you have said you are a manager.....what in? Some cute little spot picked out specially for you by your darling fuhrer?
I, like most others on this blog read your shit and want to throw up.
Oh, and one more thing, the IRC was having a hissy fit during the wage case because you all DARED to defy their order to return to work.
THAT is why you didnt get the rise you wanted, not the fault of HSU (of course the lack of commitment and the delays, etc, etc, etc were their fault).
The managers got a rise because the IRC was too stupid and too lazy to sit down and figure it out.
They dismissed the work value case out of hand, figured level so and so got X, so the next level of manager got Y and the next Z and so on (absolutely fucking true).
But dear Spider, YOU as a "MANAGER" are standing up for those who DIDN'T get a decent rise, WHAT A GUY!
I hope you are just playing devil's advocate, to stir up emotion, because I cant believe that ANYONE could be that naive
So who is going to the next non HSU rally??
When?
Where?
I Still reckon it is time to take a nice long walk and don't forget to throw those nice tailored uniform shirts at Old Crazy Eyes on Hug a Paramedic Day.
You might as well, he has everything else of yours so he might as well have the shirt off your back too!
And finally can ALL of you please tick the Name/URL radio button and give yourselves ANY name other than anonymous, it is getting very tiring trying to keep up with all of you.
Is Rescue back? NOT, suck shit you rescue dicks, back to plebbing once again, you baggy arsed ambo's.
Get over it, because we all have.
Labour Voter (Not),
Sounds like you have lost your composure once again. Me a manager, that’s fascinating.
As I said before Rochford delegates authority through the PSCU to local management to conduct investigations etc. I would expect if the investigation you speak of was in fact botched or jaded to protect people than those who conducted the investigation would have attracted some sort of scrutiny. Do you know of anyone who has been suspended or sacked over the investigation?. Were all the people involved still at Cowra when Greg made his visit?
As I said it’s very easy to jump to conclusions especially the wrong ones without the facts. Labour Voter (Not) a lie is a lie even if everyone believes it.
Re: ALL of the current crop were appointed under old crazy eyes' dictatorship, ALL of them!
So your saying every ranked officer in the service, that’s about 400 I think, were appointed by Rochford?. Him alone? No Divisional Manager, Operations Manager or Sector Management was involved? And you think I suffer from delusions?
Maybe you’re a manager too and I contemplate you would not be a very good one. If Rochford had to depend on you to do the right thing he would be very disappointed i'd expect. But hey, he is probably used to it.

Paramedics in Western Australia could soon get a substantial pay increase, if their union agrees to a revised offer from St John Ambulance. Under the proposal, paramedics would get a pay rise of between 15 and 30 per cent, as well as extra benefits including paternity leave and increased allowances. The Liquor, Hospitality and Miscellaneous Union is reviewing the offer, and is expected to make a decision this afternoon. St John Ambulance Service Director Peter King says it is an exceptional package. There's no doubt that it makes them the best paid paramedics in Australia," he said "It aligns them with other health professionals within the system, and it sets the organisation and WA up to recruit and retain a strong workforce of paramedic staff.
And that people, is why HSU has got to go. Look up AEA everyone. Do your research and stay tuned.
Nationally the AEA represents 4,500 members around Australia

I dont believe for one minute you are the last remaining brother !!!
The service is still riddled with your fat abusive bullying type.
BUT ... your days are numbered.... of that you can be sure.
Labour Voter (not) you appear very interested to find out about the timing and location of any forthcoming non-union rallies. Why the interest? I noticed when a mention was made about the brothers in your last blog you blurted out “ Sadly there are few of us left”. You also commonly insist that we all strike generally after making derogatory comments about Rochford in your blogs.
Are you one of those corrupt uniformed managers in HSU? Are you trying to provoke the troops to strike so HSU can attack Rochford through the media?
With all that’s been going on lately; the discontent, non-union rallies and Paramedic Day on Friday this site might be being monitored by some.

Take a look at this !!
This is what we could achieve if we got rid of the HSU !!!.........................
In March 1987 the AEA appointed Phil Palmer as Organiser, then in July that year the
membership elected him as General Secretary. Within 2 months of that election, the AEA
commenced what became a 30-month dispute to bring the Service up to a national and
professional organisation. During the course of that dispute the Union had dozens of different
bans in place – the most effective of which was case card bans – blocking revenue.
In March 1989, the dispute “peaked” with virtually every Ambo in the Metropolitan Area
suspended (“stood down from duty”) without pay over their support for their Union and the refusal
to lift bans. The then Minister of Health (Frank Blevins) threatened AEA officials with prison
under the Essential Services Act. The Service, with the Minister’s approval, used volunteers as
“scab” labour in the metropolitan area. Country members were also taking action, but the
Service did not have the nerve to stand them down as country volunteers refused to act as
“scab” labour. This action ultimately broke the Service and the Government as the volunteers
could not sustain rosters – the Minister conceded defeat. Within 6 months we were gearing up
for a fully professional Ambulance Service, proper tertiary education and associated improved
clinical standards.
Once we settled the professionalisation issue, we were able to gain wage parity with the rest of
Australia (1990) and reduce the unacceptably high reliance on on-call in the country areas.
for more info see http://www.aeasa.com.au/
The above is interesting.. Definately food for thought. Scab labor from volunteers wouldn't work for the government now, mostly because of the skills we don't get paid for now, volunteers don't have.
Brother e
My friend you have obviously been sitting behind a desk for a very long time and in another state.
The best thing Rochford has done to date is to get rid of rescue.
And no, i have never applied to join rescue either.
The service has finally recognised rescue is an unproductive and very expensive resource the service does not require. Rescue will not be returned, i assure you of that.
Rescue does not care about the average Ambo and never has, yet now we should be their greatest ally, well i think not. It is pathetic how they are acting, whinging and complaining of having to do what they were originally employed to do, serve the people of NSW.One up for Rochford.
Rescue Hater you are only looking at Rescue from your own selfish perspective. Ambulance Rescue has a long history behind it and if it wasn't for the likes of people like Jim Smith and Gary O'Callaghan (you are probably too wet behind the ears to even know who they are) we would be still using tow trucks to pry cars apart to get people out. Rescue is about rescuing people safely and properly by real ambo's with real skills. Rescue Hater I hope you never need to be rescued old mate but if you do I hope it is the SES that have to do it. You might get your head out of your butt long enough to be able t look behind your own personal what's in it for me attitude and no I am not a rescue officer either.
Peter M,
My friend, i will not denie the fact that the service and in particular rescue has a proud history but that is all it has.
Unfortunately look what rescue has evolved into to.
Maybe your to wet behind the ears to know that.
I think its time everyone got over rescue and worried more about the pay,ie,meal penalitys for example.
If you are not rescue then why are people so worried. How does it effect you?,only that they may do less on the road,or off station having coffee or long lunches,so what!I choose to be on the road, and if they want to do less than me who cares, thats their problem and the government because at the end of the day its the government who is paying them, not ME.
Its time to move on and be more concerned about not losing what we already have,ie,Meals, sick leave etc etc.
does anyone know what happened in the IRC yesterday?
It seems to be a secret once again!
anyway,I dont complain when iam makeing heaps on meals when the rescue are sitting there makeing less than me.
move on troops, there are more important issues than rescue,,,,look at the bigger picture.

All,
Stop the complaints about allowances and money I’m sick of hearing about it. If you all want to be in a union with your supervisor/manager it is up to you. It is illegal in most countries. Why it isn’t hear I can’t understand.
The bottom line is if you are all that naïve and stupid YOU ALL DESERVE WHAT YOU GET, AND THEM SOME, ……..LOSERS!!!!!.
Angry
Happy Thank A Paramedic Day people. Where I work you wouldn't even know it was a special day. Not an email from anyone and not a fax from anyone. Nothing from mmanagement nothing. Why bother? Anyone have any positive things from today?
thank a paramedic day.
Ha.
Nothing on the news,
You people that don't want to grass it should get it through your thick heads.
The public does not give us a second thought until they need us.
Lots of stories about teachers pay in the news though.
Yeh !
I hear another 50 people have left the HSU this month.... THATS POSITIVE.
Fortunately we as ambo's do not need the recognition for what we do, we go about our business as the quite achievers and that makes us unique. No it probaly will not get us a pay rise and as stated by anonymous some weeks ago the public are quite ignorant to our plight. We do not have the support of our union and the management are slowly but surely ripping the heart and soul out of every ambo in the job. We do not have a budget to advertise our fight for what should be rightfully ours, and that is a fair dinkum wage.
I suppose there is no easy solution and unfortnately we will continually be shit on from great heights until the day we all stand together as one voice.
it’s all gone quiet nobody dropped into the station here and said hello, no emails no faxs no news nothing didn’t even get one of roachfords cakes spider talked about earlier. you think at least we would get something from management something to try and prop up morale. no one gives a shit. sort of understand how christine hodder felt. left out to dry, and now just another statistic, what a waste. not even something from hsu. they could at least thank us for all the money we pay them for fuck all.
fuck’em all I say.
Ok I don't feel so bad now so it wasn't just us that heard nothing from anyone. What a joke this service has become. Hey maybe Spiders good mate Crazy Eyes rang him to thank him for all the positive vibes he posts here. Did he Spider? Did he call? Did you get a cake?
Billy Ray,
As a matter of fact I spoke to him once at a funeral for about 4 seconds but was rudely interrupted, you know how it goes. So no phone call and no cake for Spider.
Does anyone have any idea what happened at the IRC this week? Also Rescue, some say it’s gone, some say it’s staying, and HSU don’t have a clue.

“The ambulance service as a whole is excited about the project; there are not enough indigenous people in the service,” Mr Hanna said.
“It’s something I think the indigenous community really needs. The ultimate goal is to see the numbers increase.
“There is also a flow-on effect. We hope to make the indigenous community feel comfortable with the ambulance service and understand we’re here to offer a helping hand.”
I'm excited too, bet they make ECP before any of us out here in the bush do.

Hey Spider,
What the fuck would you know with your diatribe!! Big cut and paste job with your profound statement.....
Hey dickhead. For a start spell labour correctly, secondly give yourself a big uppercut and knock some sense into that absolutely thick skull of yours you fucking idiot.
I cannot believe how absolutely naive you are.
“Get Management out of our union now! Power tends to corrupt, absolute power corrupts absolutely”, Oh wow man that is so profound.
You are literally one of the biggest fucking idiots I have read on this blog.....

news flash:
well all you heroes the calltakers have shown you pussies the way to go.........
The Ambulance Service of NSW is seeking an urgent hearing in the Industrial Relations Commission (IRC) after its officers called a snap strike over stalled pay negotiations.
The state-wide industrial action started at 4pm (AEDT) on Friday, with bans on overtime, and patient transfers from hospitals after discharge.
The industrial action also includes bans on ambulance stand-bys at sporting events this weekend, and on processing invoices but crews would continue to respond to emergency calls.
United Services Union (USU) organiser Rudi Oppitz said since the work bans were announced, employees had been warned they could be stood down.
"The impact if this action were taken would mean the ambulance service would place the public at risk because there would be no staff to deal with triple-0 calls," he said.
But an Ambulance Service of NSW spokeswoman said the action was disappointing.
She said the matter was already before the IRC, and a meeting had been scheduled for the parties on November 26.
"Ambulance has requested an urgent hearing in the IRC," she said on Friday evening.
Mr Oppitz said the strike was in response to five months of delays in negotiations with the health department.
"Ambulance employees who take life-threatening triple-0 calls are an important part of the service and deserve to have their wage negotiations wrapped up quickly and efficiently," he said.
"To drag this out like the department has, with no explanation or acknowledgment, is simply degrading and gives these employees little credit for the important job they do around the clock."
Mr Oppitz said unless the department started treating the situation seriously there would be a backlog of patients occupying much-needed hospital beds.
"Unless the government responds to workers' wage claims, bed shortages are sure to become a major issue," he said.
"Workers apologise for any inconvenience the bans cause to non-emergency patients but feel this is the only responsible way they can show the department how serious this situation is for them."
The bans will continue until workers get a response from the government, the union said.

what are you going to do, just continue to talk each other to death???????????
or wait for the big bad HSU to join the party???

Brother Anonymouse,
How about giving yourself a name for a start. That shouldn’t be too complex I hope. My last post consisted of a citation thus the quotation marks, for example, “dumby”. The spelling of labour in the text was the English American spelling thus “labor”. This is because it was a excerpt from a document originating in A-m-e-r-i-c-a. I am optimistic your not an ambo as you don’t seem too bright.
All the swearing was childlike, however, “Give yourself a big uppercut” was sort of amusing, but other than your post was particularly boring.
Surely you can present some sort of view or opinion of what’s happening.
Your turn man!

Attention Michael Williamson:
Here is how you run a dispute mate, they struck because they were sick of waiting after FIVE MONTHS, not 4 YEARS !!!!
What happened to the 300 extra staff?
what happened to getting rid of RoAchford?
What happened to our work value case?

Ambulance phone operators begin strikes
(Posted Fri Nov 21, 2008 6:24pm AEDT)
Ambulance phone operators have begun refusing to process transfer calls for patients being discharged from New South Wales hospitals.
The workers have agreed to begin the industrial action this afternoon after pay negotiations with the Health Department stalled.
The United Services Union says the work ban is likely to lead to a backlog of non-emergency patients occupying hospital beds.
It is hoping the Health Department will be pressured into returning to the negotiating table.
maybe we should join them????
Hey SPIDER
Well actually, I can present some sort of view or opinion on what is happening. Before I do, I want to stand by my original response to your dribble. Oh and by the way, the swearing really only presents itself out of sheer frustration over what such ill informed people like you present on this blog.
Firstly I do need to point out that your spelling is still atrocious. Anonymouse? Dumby? Your? (read your response and you will see what I mean)
Next I must say to you please don’t insult my intelligence ever again by believing you needed to highlight that your “diatribe” was a United States (US) derived article. You need to know that proper etiquette requires... “when in Rome, do as the Romans do”. Good grief. Get a grip man. You are in Australia so do the decent thing and use our spelling!! (Note no swearing albeit I am still very frustrated with you Spider!!)
Now, down to business. You asked for a view or opinion so here it goes. Are you ready? Sure?
Quoting your propaganda about getting management out of the Union has absolutely nothing to do with the current industrial landscape facing Paramedics in New South Wales. For years managers (Superintendents) who were members of the HSU have fought against the Service on restructure after restructure as well as attempting to achieve improvements to their pay and conditions.
Guess what? They lost every time. Restructures occurred, many lost their jobs (and probably are the only career ambos who know how the Rescue Officers feel right now) and they couldn’t win a trick regarding pay and conditions until the recent windfall in the MIC. They still do not earn much more than the better paid Paramedics out there.
Whilst many of you reading this would say who cares and good riddance, the continued assertion that the management should not be in the same union is absolutely unfounded. If they had so much influence over what happened in this organisation I think they would have been better off over the years. I also hear that they have no representation at all now that the Superintendent’s Sub-Branch has folded. Poor bastards they are really on their own now Spider so please do not keep on with the management in union crap.
Similarly, your holding high ideals about US Unionisation or Industrial Relations is absolute nonsense. I tell you why.
In the mid-1950s, only 36% of the US workforce was unionised. Even at their union peak in the 1950s, union membership was lower in the US than in almost all comparable countries. By 1989 that figure had dropped to about 16%, the lowest percentage of any developed democracy except France.
To put this into perspective, here are some comparison percentages of unionised workforces for other developed democracies that were published in 1990:
• 95% in Sweden and Denmark.
• 85% in Finland
• Over 60% in Norway and Austria
• Over 50% in Australia, Ireland and the United Kingdom.
• Over 40% in West Germany and Italy
In 1987 United States unionisation was 37 points below the average of seventeen countries surveyed, down from 17 points below average in 1970. Between 1970 and 1987, union membership declined in only three other countries:
• Austria, by 3%,
• Japan, by 7%, and the
• Netherlands, by 4%.
In the US, union membership had declined by 14%. In 2004, 12.5% of US wage and salary workers were union members. 36% of government workers were union members, but only 8% of workers in private-sector industries were.
Have you recently asked yourself the question, "what is the minimum wage in the US" when you espouse them as the ideal? You might be surprised to learn that it recently went up again from $5.85/hour to $6.55/hour on 24 July 2008. After all, the federal minimum wage in the US was $5.15 for a decade.
I give you this little history lesson so that you may learn Grasshopper, oh sorry I mean Spider, in the event you ever feel the need or desire to cut and paste irrelevant quotes from the US in the hope that Paramedics will see you as the Messiah and guide them all to the promised land.
Now, it is not all about US union history (hooray I hear many of your say!!). It is about what Paramedics are going to do about the conundrum they currently face. There has been much said about the hate toward Michael Williamson and the HSU. I say build a fuc.... (oops nearly) bridge and get over it.
As for all the hype about resigning from the HSU. Apart from reinstating a few dollars in your pocket each week you have essentially created the biggest impediment to solidarity which is needed for Paramedics to fight this through. So you may have lost the battle. There is still a war to be won. Feel like some inspiration go to www.youtube.com/watch?v=kYiKdJoSsb8 and sing along.
Yeah, Williamson has most likely done some deals and worked the politics to his advantage but it is the strong unionised workforce that needs to keep people like him accountable. What chance do you think you have now? Leave the HSU and go join another Union I have read many say. Who is going to organise that?
Divide and conquer. It’s happening guys. Just look at the division between Sub-Branches on the latest offer of meal allowances put on the table. It’s going to be a difficult period and I certainly don’t profess have the answers.
If I were you I would be getting on to my sub branch delegates and force the HSU to front a state wide meeting, however this can be organised, to explain why things have turned out the way that it has and what they intend to do about it. At least you will be in a position to make an informed decision and act accordingly. From what I have read on this blog of recent times it does not appear that anyone has any real idea where things are really heading and from a Paramedic perspective not knowing where this matter is going is driving everyone nuts and anger is rife.
Finally you asked for me to immerse myself into immense pressure and give myself a name. I really like the “Brother” thing you assigned me because it brings back so many memories. Hmmm let’s see. What about ARACHNID HATER? How’s that?
Oh glad you enjoyed the uppercut statement. You know what they say about small things amusing small minds??!!

Firstly thanks to the last anonymous for your support, I really appreciate it.
For such a really long post you really brought up nothing of any real relevance, Minimum wages in the US? youtube Sing alongs? Paramedics standing United with the Help of HSU….yeah right? About the only thing of importance in you last blog was the ability the give yourself a name, well done. As injustice piles on injustice, as inquiry after inquiry doesn’t come up with any real answers, as the immoral relationship between HSU and uniformed management flourishes, we will continue to be forced to rely on ourselves. We should all takes notice of this quote from legislation in the states.
GET MANAGEMENT OUT OF OUR UNION NOW!!!

SPIDER
A RADIO advertising campaign designed to stop people abusing the ambulance service begins this week.
The NSW government and the Ambulance Service want to stop people calling triple-0 while feigning a medical emergency to get help with trivial matters such as broken fingernails and pizza cravings, The Sun-Herald reports.
Paramedics are reporting increasing instances of callers faking emergencies so they can be ferried to hospital, only to skip off to a shopping centre after the free ride.
More people are also calling triple-0 for minor ailments, believing an ambulance trip will ensure faster treatment, not realising it is administered according to how urgent their medical need is.
About 22,000 of the one million calls received annually, or one in 45 calls, are for non-emergencies.
One caller was too tired to pick up a pillow that had fallen from his bed, another wanted help getting to sleep, while a third called about a broken fingernail.
Liverpool paramedic John Brotherhood said nuisance calls drove him and his colleagues mad.
"It's not unusual for people who have had their phones cut off to ring us when they want a pizza because you can always dial triple-0," he said. "They just see us as a service and feel entitled to call."
Health Minister John Della Bosca said nuisance calls were potentially life-threatening, taking officers away from essential duties.
"Ambulance paramedics are there to provide an emergency service for people needing urgent attention for such conditions as shortness of breath, unconsciousness, chest pain, broken bones, traumatic accident, head injury, suspected heart attack or stroke and excessive blood loss," he said.
Who gives a f@#$% what he said ???
HOw come it has gone so quite ?? have we accepted defeat already ???
Why arnt you all calling the HSU repeatedly like i am and asking them what they are doing !
`
Fancy getting Brotherhood to be a spokesman for the firm. What a tosser he is. Thank god I am now 600kms from him. Of course we have all given up. Just like our bossses said we would. They know they just have to wait long enough and it will all blow over.
How's that Spider? not a bad quote even if i do say so myself.
"The court reasoned that if supervisory-level
firefighters were members of the same union as the rank and file, then the supervisors
would face an "irreconcilable conflict of interest" by virtue of their competing duties
to the fire department and their union cohorts. Id. Shortly thereafter, the supervisory firefighters formed an organization called the
Chief Officers Association."
You lot are the most stupid bunch of sheep of any work force and deserve what you idiots get - nothing...!
Spider Rochford - keep weaving your crap and taking their minds off the real issues.
Fuck you...!
Re: How's that Spider? not a bad quote even if I do say so myself
Yep well done my friend. The word is out and it will grow and it will enrage to the point where every ambo will say enough is enough, do these people think we are stupid, being in the same union as our boss…..hello!!!. No more HSU run by our management, no more shady deals under the table at our expense. No more reviews that side step the real issue.
THIS NEEDS TO BE AN AGENDA ITEM FOR EVERY SUB-BRANCH IN THE STATE.
Question 1. Do you think that being in HSU with Management (uniformed) creates conflict of interest. YES/NO
Question 2. Do you think that Management’s (uniformed) official duties and responsibilities directly conflict with their sincerity and responsibilities as members of the HSU. YES/NO
Question 3. Do you think that Management (uniformed) as members of HSU creates an environment where they would not have undivided loyalty to the Executive. YES/NO
LET THE MEMBERS DECIDE!!!!!
SPIDER
LET THE MEMBERS DECIDE!!!!
(excluding management)
I am afraid the members seem to have given up the fight just like our bosses said they would. The enraged ambo's seem to have accepted defeat or at least the ones I know have. Only thing I see happening is that nobody is doing the morphine/dextrose upgrade and that is a good thing except that it is the genuine patients that will suffer or may suffer I should say. But then we need to be looking after ourselves for a change. So where have all the work emails gone? Where are all the militant posters on here gone? Yep I think it is dead in the water. Live with it guys and gals 'cause it aint changing and Della Bosca doesn't give a shit either and neither will the Libs when they get in.
NSW ambulance officers have called off industrial action after the state government and the union agreed to reconvene at the Industrial Relations Commission next week.
State-wide industrial action with bans on overtime and patient transfers from hospitals after discharge started at 4pm (AEDT) on Friday.
United Services Union (USU) organiser Rudi Oppitz said the work bans would finish at midday on Saturday.
Mr Oppitz said the parties met at the NSW Industrial relations Commission in Sydney at 9am (AEDT) on Saturday.
"It has been recommended to the ambulance service that they bring representatives of the service, the department of health and also treasury to this commission hearing on Wednesday in which the parties hope for a resolution," Mr Oppitz said.
"On that basis the union is endeavouring now to contact all our members to advise them that we're lifting the work bans and ceasing the industrial action."
He said the union was confident it would be able to reach a resolution to workers' wage claims with the government.
The parties are due to appear at the NSW Industrial Relations Commission at 10am on Wednesday
seeing the tired weary and exhausted troops, the management are now sharpening their swords !!
Thanks HSU for absolutely nothing !
What is the USU??? Never heard of it and who was going to strike certainly not anyone I know or work with?
What is the USU??? Never heard of it and who was going to strike certainly not anyone I know or work with?
gee dummy do you think the Service is only made up of Ambos...er sorry Paramedics.
The USU represents, amongst others, us civilian calltakers in the operations centres
Clearly a better union to be in than HSU, we don't wait for 4 years to get our problems sorted
When you think of it we are far more necessary than you baggy arsed ambos, we answer the phones !
how do I join?
how do I join?
ya can't, you are covered by HSU, that wonderful union who represents ambos..sorry again paramedics.
you could join USU but they could not represent you at the IRC 'cause HSU has it sewn up
you could always quit and then be a civilian calltaker, get shat on by all the "proper" ambulance people, the bosses, the bosses in the room, PSCU, and the general public.
good fun
Re: you could join USU but they could not represent you at the IRC 'cause HSU has it sewn up
Actually if you go the NSW IRC website you can lodge an industrial complaint without the help of your union. But questions would obviously be asked why. You might need your own solicitor though to help you fill out your claim and probably some very big testicles on the day to present your case.
Maybe if a couple of thousand ambos individually registered an industrial complaint with the NSW IRC people might start to take notice.
This blog site should be renamed Real Pissweak Ambo's. We get on here gibba jabbing about what we should be doin and how to do it, but nothing ever gets done. It's true, the management sit back and monitor this site and laugh their over paid lazy arses off at us.We have lost and that is all there is to it. These pricks play mind games with us and we let them, just like little lost sheep. How many years have we hid behind anonymous comments in fear of retribution. We all talk the talk but we never walk the walk because it is to hard. Look at rescue for an example. They know rescue is not coming back but they still dangle the carrot and for how long for fuck sake .
How many times did you get your fat arse out of a car to guide someone you fat inbred fuck. Practice what you preach cunt.
If the USU represent the civilian call takers it should be called the "I wouldn't know shit from clay when it comes to talking to patients" union, and the same with your civillian radio operators. Whoever allowed that to happen needs a good reef up the arse you are all hopeless. It ran much better when it was run by real ambo's who actually know what a patient looks like. Leave the HSU and become a civillian call taker eh? What a joke. As if....so you were all going to go onstrike and then you didn't. Sound familiar you two faced arsewipe. I had no idea there was so much jealousy in this job. You really want to be an ambo don't you but you know you never will.

Dent is a manager, not a very good one and here he is commenting on this blog site. We would be silly not to believe that the management do not monitor this blog site. Don't you just love the mind games.
Go away Brother Dent we know about you. Probably the only one left that Rochford didn't sack.
I can't find Dents comments. Where are they?
You can fool some of the people all of the time,
and you can fool all of the people some of the time,
but you can not fool all of the people all of the time.
Dents comments november 27
Copy that. Found em. I doubt the Dentster would post anything here. Probably a fake.
Is that you Dent?
I bet there are some great stories about the Dent in the dark ages of when in rode around in a primary care car. I wonder what he use to get up to, doing things he would try to sack you for now. Gee how they all forget.
I heard the Dent use to make regular comments as to how he hated his staff on the CC. Closed door bullying/stand over tactics was his specialty. And here he is still a manager. Amazing.
Sack the Dent Rochford.
They all have skeletons in their closets but they soon forget when they get some shit on their shoulders. The only one that doesn't is Rochford and that is because he was never one of us to start with. Yeah Dent was a bully boy and some that weren't have been taught to me. Then they give themselves a nice fat pay rise for it and take away our call offs and late meals the scumbags.
I like to stick my 1st finger in my bottom, the 2nd finger is a bit to big for me at the moment but I am determined to work my way up to it.
Does anyone else like putting things in their bottom?
We have just returned from the Report Back before Justice Schmidt this morning, and I can advise that:
It was placed on the record that all parties agreed that the original procedure to revoke the eight Ambulance Rescue Units was less than satisfactory;
That, consistent with normal Industrial Relations practice, all parties agreed that it is appropriate for Ambulance Rescue to resume the role that it had prior to 4th September 2008;
That a comprehensive review of Rescue, including the State Rescue Board̢۪s role, is to occur over the next twelve months. Terms of Reference will need to be developed to allow this to occur in a transparent manner;
The Department formally re-committed to complying with Her Honour̢۪s previous Recommendations pending the eight Ambulance Rescue Units becoming operational again;
The State Rescue Board is to meet next week. It is expected that submissions from all parties will be to re-accredit the eight Ambulance Rescue units that had lost their accreditation to allow the status quo to be re-established and facilitate the comprehensive Rescue Review referred to above. I am unable at this stage to advise of the effective date of that re-accreditation.
IUS wins FSS mandate
Monday, 1 December 2008 12:35pm
The $14 billion First State Super has appointed group risk insurer IUS to provide group life and TPD insurance benefits for NSW ambulance officers.
According to general manager IUS life Phil Collins, this is the first time covers will be provided to the ambulance officers sector within FSS.
It is also an open ended contract that will be reviewed from time to time. In addition to providing these benefits, IUS will oversee the total disability claims process for the Ambulance Service of NSW, including partial incapacity benefits which are provided by the service.
"We expect this to result in cost savings and efficiencies," said Collins.
Collins said IUS had worked to meet the brief of both the super fund and the Ambulance Service to demonstrate that the insurer could provide competitive insurance products but also to develop a better overall process for managing disablement claims.
"It is comforting that we won the appointment not only based on competitive pricing, but through recognition of our innovation and service," he said.
Poor lost souls,
Allan Dent is a great bloke. You idiots criticize him just because he's a tall poppy to you lot of underperforming thumb suckers.
Here we go aging...You lot lived past and pathetic lives in the dark ages and burned people to the stake. You believed in a flat earth, witchcraft, werewolves and those air splints were as good as a MAST, and all the pseudo science that went with it all.
You lot criticize our once fine paramedics [the real ones] just 'cause you could never pass the entrance exam and want it all just delivered to you in the post.
If you put lipstick on a pig; it’s still a pig.
Put a paramedic badge on a coolly; its still a coolly.
Well, now you have it all. "Dead reckoning, gut feelings and are only proficient at one thing: jumping at shadows.
Allan was never perfect, far from it. He is the very first to admit it. A kind man who saved more arses than he ever kicked is how I proudly know and remember him as.
I can hear you all:
"Burn him [Allan} at the stake, if he survives we should then we should try and drown him and then let's look in his belly for babies hearts and goose entrails."
You lot have no heart, no code, no honor, no sense of mate ship.
You laugh when people cry out in despair and you laugh when good people get the sack just cause they have been here a while.
NO union worth its salt or its membership crows about that sort of stuff. You are pathetic. Just listen to yourselves.
You all laughed and chided the Parramata ambo who complained about his lot in life.
The mob mentality [Group Think} really hit him now didn't it?
"If you don't like it then leave" is what one of you wrote about him.
Did ONE of you try to contact him and his family to see if you could help him? I and my old brother mates did and he and his family have been helped out.
You make this old ambo literally cry at this keyboard.
You deserve Rochford and Spider 'cause they and YOU are one of the same inept goons that operate our units.
P.A.P.
Welcome back PAP. Yes I agree with you re the Dentmaster (hey that would make a great name for a business) he certainly showed me compassion on more than one occassion when i was down on my luck and I won't hear anyone say anything bad about him. I think though you are living in the past talking about coolies and real paramedics mate. Your ambulance illusion days are over. The facts are that the skill level has increased so much now that a level P1 is all but the original level 5. We know you blokes were the elite well until you were made to take Intensive Care of your cars and the rescue trucks turned up about the same time with Paramedic Rescue on them. Didn't that upset you fella's. My God!! And lets not SCAT which made the "real paramedics" redundant overnight as the service's elite soldiers. I feel that in my time I was very instrumental in getting the 'real paramedics' off their arses and out doing ambulance work. Yep routine jobs just like the so called coolies. You didn't like that either did you PAP. Then it was only the rescue boys who sat around and watched TV all day waiting for that serious job that might never come although rescue were always busy as they had to find things to do to keep certifed, organising training days and not sitting on their reputations. No it is a great service today. Level 5's mixing with Level 1's just like All Saints!! and just like it should be. If only I had been able to be trained by people like Jeff G and Steve I by working with them every day. I love this job and it just keeps getting better every day. It will be a sad day when i have to hang up my hat for the last time let me tell you.
JOHN DELLA BOSCA'S closest backer, the Health Services Union, has convinced him to reverse a decision made just two months ago so that responsibility for rescue services will be handed back to the NSW Ambulance Service.
Mr Della Bosca will ignore a recommendation from a Government review of ambulance performance and overturn the decision of his predecessor, Reba Meagher, who stripped the ambulance service of rescue operations.

"I feel that in my time I was very instrumental in getting the 'real paramedics' off their arses and out doing ambulance work. Yep routine jobs just like the so called coolies"
Ah yes all us old frogs knew your type well, ezpecially all those times you and your ilk tied up all the IC cars with routine work and then a patient died for lack of appropriate care.
You are clearly a legend in your own lunch hour.
In over a decade in the room I used an IC car twice, yes only twice for jobs within the hour, never for routine work. Yes I got bagged for it "looking after your mates" "elitist", etc, etc. But I thought the job was to get the best care to those in need.
As for the IC/GD mix we lost a peer who was as well qualified and could share in the decision making and the treatment. Because some days you couldn't get a line or a tube, but your mate could.
I know of 5 that died becasue of the IC/GD mix for the reasons stated above who were in my "care".
But it saved the company money so I guess that made it ok. And you got Mrs Bloggs to her day care appointment on time.
If you read the latest health report by Pater Garling you will see that he thinks it's a great idea too. He wants to give us a driver with no skils at all.
See you really have triumphed!
Remember the NSWAS motto: "best care nowhere"
New South Wales Health Minister John Della Bosca has asked for a review on the decision to hand the Ambulance Service's rescue role to the Fire Brigade.
The State Government made the decision two months ago in an effort to lower costs by eliminating duplicated services.
Mr Della Bosca says he has now asked an independent body, the Rescue Board, to review the matter.
He says he believes the original decision was made in haste.
"I'm not the rescue minister, I'm not catalysing about the rescue decision," he said.
"What is important to me is that we value and properly allocate and utilise the skills of those ambulance paramedics rescue personnel, and I don't think that has been able to be done because if the way the original decision was made."
Poor lost souls,
Clinical mix is a wank...With your mentality, detectives would be doing point duty at George and Pitt St.
Senior doctors woulde be doing suturing while dick head learners would fuck up life threatened cases.
Fuck me..Grow up and ditch the losers syndrome.
Keep your best until last and ALWAYS make them available for the patient that really needs their life saving skills and not to stroke the egos of a few ambo drivers who can't make it in this world.
Some of you actually think that its great to have the only real paramedic in town doing the shit work that others are trained and paid for.
The MICA guys/girls work out of hospitals and do retrieval work. Our paramedics retrieve the fucking renals.
And you are happy about this stupid waste of our precious best?
You lot are pathetic...!
P.A.P.
P.A.P
Good to see your back. Still spruking your elitist phychobabble bullshit I see. As I said in one of my previous posts…Not since the likes of Mr. Ed has there been a more lovable talking animal than P.A.P. A difficult man to forget, but well worth the effort. But hey P.A.P welcome back you old sausage, I missed you!!!.
I find it interesting that Della Bosca says he has now asked the Rescue Board to review it’s original decision re ambulance rescue. Sounds to me like buck passing as most polis do only too well. If they decide no once more because they believe it is a duplication of services in line with their initial decision, and recommended by an independent review (funded with tax payers dollars by the way), Della Bosca and HSU get out of it with clean hands. Isn’t politics wonderful, let’s just blame someone else, we did our best, it's their fault, but please fuck off and stop winging about it. I’m not saying rescue won’t be reinstated, I doubt all anyway, but if I were a rescue officer I wouldn’t hold my breath in any event.
Get Management out of our union now!!!!

Furthermore,
All the who ha at the IRC lately really can be taken with a grain of salt. As we all know the IRC answers to our politicians. Guess who they are? Anyway ever heard of the government appointing a politically aligned judge or committee to achieve a desired result, I have. A lot of stuff happens up the big end of town that we mere mortals have no concept of. My bet is ambulance rescue will be reinstated but not all units….let’s just wait and see.

Fuck me P.A.P you hit the nail on the head son.
Watch these losers winge when rescue is not only returned but they will no longer be attatched to an Ambulance Station.
Thats right.
Rescue will have their own stations like Careflight etc...
They will be tasked by the SOO only, so no more medical, no more Ambo's whinging because they won't see rescue sitting around on station.
Ask for Rescue on a job and they will show up. And thats all you need to know.
So yes P.A.P the best is being saved for last and not trival shit, the way it should be.
Go the Bosca

Fuck you blokes bite well. It is so easy to get a raise because you real paramedics are so full of yourselves. Who do you think saved the lives before you blokes came along? It was me. It might surprise you to know that ordinary ambo's have been saving lives since before they had cars. Matter of fact it was well known that in the old days we had more saves by scooping and running rather than fucking around at the scene while you blokes tried to tube someone and failed or tried to cannulate someone and failed (hey you are the elite troops that need to kept until last and you couldn't cannulate or intubate someone so they died??? Wake up to yourselves. if you had any kind of clue you would have realised your own level of incompetence and loaded and went but it would have been too much for you to admit it. Intubation has never saved a life. If they survived they would have anyway. Might have prevented aspiration but a good GD can do that anyway with proper airway control. Yeah lets keep the best for last so that means getting all Level 5's out on the road working like they should be and keep SCAT and Rescue for the real jobs. Onya Bosca. Rescue Hater you have been quiet old son!
Management don't belong in a Paramedic's union. They are management, and we are the labour.
How can both parties be represented by the same union when management enforces rules and dictates policy?
But what is most important is that management got the big payrise with the assistance of the HSU (that’s our union right?).
As injustice piles on injustice, as inquiry after inquiry doesn’t come up with any real answers, as the immoral corrupt relationship between HSU and uniformed management flourishes, we will be forced to rely on ourselves.
