When we set up this blog, we wanted everyone to be able to have their say, uncensored and raw. And I think you'll all admit we've achieved that!
We're going to keep it that way, too. We're not going to remove anyone's comments because of bad language or personal attacks. Having said that, there are a few things to keep in mind when you're writing your comments:
Bad Language
I'm not offended by bad language and I use it every day. It looks like a lot of other people do to. But not everyone does, so keep that in mind when you're writing your comments. If it's not necessary, leave it out; if you think it is necessary, by all means, leave it in. After all, as that famous philosopher, Billy Connolly, once pointed out, "Fuck off!" is not the same as, "Go away." Choose what is appropriate.
Personal Attacks
I'll just make this observation: if you've got to resort to personal attacks, you've already lost the argument. (And if both sides are making personal attacks, you're both losers!)
We want people to be able to write their point of view. And if it is not the same as yours, go ahead and add your comment. Convince them they're wrong (or convince everyone else you're right). I've never seen anyone convince anyone else of anything by calling them names. It didn't work when we were kids, it still doesn't work now. If you're really passionate about something, you should be able to explain why.
Keep that in mind next time you add a comment. Everyone else will, when they read your comment.
And keep the comments coming!

Allow me to make a suggestion. It's pretty clear we're all fed up with the pathetic way this service is managed and the discraceful way we are all treated. I have began a total ban on rercording pension numbers on case sheets. I beleive it costs the service $20 to generate and send out each account. Why should we do anything to make life easier for the organisation that treats us all like shit. This will also make the scabs in our society realise the actual cost of of calling triple o when they want a band aid or a taxi and force them to at least pay for a stamp to send the account back. I therefore urge you all... PLEASE STOP RECORDING PENSION NUMBERS. Regards, The Jackal.

Is anonymous a moron or what??? I am sure that the bean counters will say, "the amount of pension numbers missing will mean we can't have any more mandatory equipmewnt for saving lives". Get real anonymous, are you a boss? I reckon you must be.
Anonymous is right. By not writing the pension details is disadvantaging money that could be spent elsewhere.

Anybody who genuinely believes that the ASNSW is going to be able to think logically by associating a lack of income from pension accounts with supply of "life saving equipment" is completely insane.
The ASNSW wasn't going to buy it anyway!! This would just give them another lame excuse and make ambos look militant. Don't do any paperwork, make the Health Department suffer, make it impossible for sporting events to go ahead and you might finally get noticed so that the general comunity actually realise the intolerable conditions you are expected to work under.
As we all know and have been to afraid to say the ASNSW has more abusive, uneducated, uncompassionate, rude, ladder climbing 'management'staff that need to hold their head up purely to avoid the bird shit that sits on their shoulders than any other government department.
Don't have any false pretenses, whilst the ambos at the coal face are flogged into the ground, suffer conditions that most unions would not have tolerated 20 years ago and get paid like monkeys (actualy monkeys probably get better money) the zoo keepers stand up and spruke a litany of lies about "how wonderful" an organisation they are and how wrong all these accusations are that are being made in the media.
Ask the ASNSW to provide a physical hard copy of their fatigue policy and post it on the net or in a daily paper (can't it doesn't exist), ask the ASNSW what strategies they have in place to support their long standing staff when they become hurt at work, and heaven forbid we use that 4 letter dirty word. Yes PTSD - that's worse than fuck! Fuck well you can rub it out, use delete, chose to ignore it, claim it was a misprint for truck,say it in a language know one can understand, write #^*# so someone gets the idea without offending or just think well it is in the dictionary, use it anyway!!
But PTSD - just to talk PTSD, which stands for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder sends waves of disgust & terror through the hearts (if locatable) and minds (Mmm???) of ASNSW management and the even more abusive Workers Comp Insurer GIO! GIO actually stands for God I'm Onmeown!! Why, because heaven forbid you succomb to this dreadful psychological impairment, You will be on your own!!!
Your own, in a nightmare, of redtape, abuse, private investigators,back stabbing, inuendo, financial poverty,bewilderment,disbelief, fear, anger, disillusionment, constant hypervigilance,no self esteem, guilt, depression,alcohol abuse,horrid memories and never ending doctors asking "tell me the worst thing you have experienced - which Job"
So what was the worst job? Was it 1 dead, or may 5, or 1 baby, or a simple old lady who was your favourite grandmother, or your children's friend wrapped around a telegraph pole, or 3 students dismembered and dead in a crumpled wreck - or just a series of days where you have worked 40 - 50 hours without a break, without sleep, without a shower, without a normal meal (ie one that doesn't exist of fast greasy food)????!!!
Force yourself to remember that case and then talk about it to 10 or 12 doctors, lawyer, medico legal specialists without showing emotion because that will indicate weakness, or worse, if you show emotion, you must be bingingf it on, or worse still you want to leave work and live in the lap of luxury of a weekly pension from GIO and be at their mercy until you are 65.
THIS is the life of a real ambo, a dedicated ambo, an ambo who gave his life for others, who cared and who ultimately crumbled.
Where was HREA??? Who one may ask?? What union?? But when you leave make sure that you contact the credit department or you'll end up with an overdue account - I guess that must be the farwell card i expected to receive.
$20 for a pension code, that's a start, but to fix the issues we all know plague the service and are destroying lives, start by having the guts to stand up and fight these bastards. Tell your story without any glossy bits, tell the papers, keep telling the papers,stand up and be counted as a real person. This Service has a mandatory duty of care to provide a healthy and safe workplace. How long since you have felt safe, how long since you have felt respected, how long since you were last so fatigued you screamed at your kids making noise, how long since you stopped dreaming about those dead kids.... how long, too long.

A colleague from the ASNSW directed me to this Blogspot as he felt there similarities in job issues.
Given that this site was set up for ambo's to have their genuine say, without fear,it has now deteriorated to mere filth, regardless of who is writing it.
If it is ambo's then it's a sad indibtment of intelligence level and you are doing no one any favours other than proving that your mind lives in a sewer.
For those hiding behind anonymous or stolen identities then do remember that your IP address is easily traced and if you ARE in the ASNSW there can be serious criminal consequences.
If indeed the pornographic items are being placed by others in the community the same applies. So I caution you for future comments that you leave. This site has come under close scrutiny in the last few days.
Free speech is part of our democracy, however pornography is not whether it be visual or verbal.
To the people who have written with honesty, clarity, intelligence, compassion, practical suggestions and heartfealt stories thank you for sharing so openly. Unfortunately I doubt that many of these people will now use this site.
This is a real pity, for whilst there has been 100's of irrelevant postings, some have taken the interest of some very influential political figures, media outlets & journaalists.
If there actually are any genuine or "real ambos" still using this site, or the ones who initiated it, may I suggest that you do have some moderation filters added ASAP.
This in no way reduces the ability to express oppinion or argue a valid point, it just eliminates the unnecessary vulgarity. Keeping in mind that any memeber of the public can view this site, so can the media,so can Ms Skinner, so can ASNSW Management and so can children. If children read any of the lude vulgarity what level of respect do you think they would feel towards "the most trusted profession"??
Let's see if the site can be cleaned up and its intentional purpose restored. Nothing is solved this way.
I am not a HSU stooge, person logging in with mutiple identities etc or trying to eliminate the need for open communication. It does need to be cleaned up please.

I recently sent an email to Jillian Skinner re the inability of ACircusNSW to supply adequate analgesic resources to the majority of officers. Her reply was prompt and requesting further info. We at outer metro Sydney have been nil stock for over a month now. ALS backup is rare and L5 usually on some crap job courtesy of Pro QA. Am I the only one with concerns ? PS there is lots of morph. in the safe. P1 can't use despite S8 authority that says we can. (subject to circus approval)Check with Pharmaceutical branch of Dept.Health. I did.

well the pathetic way.....it continues....after four years since ryde station was sold there has been a total inability by the service to develope a new station. Wahroonga since you have so much room half of ryde will become part of your station, there goes job about, and working in an area you are familiar with. Lane Cove you will get the other half of ryde.
